aokur Adjustable IR Real Night Vision Car Backup Camera Kit

Price & Availability: $34.99,

The Aokur 4.3″ LCD video monitor and backup camera kit is a perfect car rear view parking assistance solution. Innovative design two installation ways. Easy to install and operate. Don’t need others instructions for mounting. This kit includes an IR waterproof swivel adjustable universal mount color rear view camera and a 4.3″ high-resolution color TFT LCD monitor. 19.7ft long cord cable wired car back up camera system, no need to worry about the wireless signal interference.

The item works really well! No trouble so far. The instructions are pretty much nonexistent. If you’re a Do-it-yourselfer like me, you’ll have to wing-it with nothing more than wiring diagrams. The wiring diagram for the camera shows to connect the hot wire to the reverse light wire. I connected it to a rocker switch that I mounted on the dash so I can turn it on ‘at will’ as opposed to having it work in reverse gear only. You may have trouble finding a home for the monitor because it’s so large. I used some sticky-back velcro, velcro strapping, and stuck it to the inside of the sun-visor. Be mindful of where you mount the camera. If you’re using it as a guide to assist in backing up to a trailer, I would suggest mounting the camera between 4 and 5 feet off the ground and aiming the camera downward at your trailer hitch ball. If you mount it on or around the license plate then depth perception is difficult but only at close range.
